About the Band

Toista Maata is an indie folk group consisting of five young women whose roots lie in the Vihanti and Siikajoki regions of Finland. The band has been playing and performing together since 2018.

Their distinctive sound is built around rich vocal harmonies, accompanied by piano, guitars, accordion, bass, harmonium, and cajón. Their repertoire includes arrangements of well-known radio hits, traditional folk songs, and original compositions. With their unique interpretations, the atmosphere of their performances ranges from joyful and energetic to intimate and deeply moving, offering something for every listener.
