Iso-Kraaseli Island
Iso-Kraaseli Island offers a wide range of opportunities for visitors. It is located three kilometres from the waterfront of Raahe sea museum and café Ruiskuhuone. The island can be reached with own transport or renting a kayak from Pikkulahti. Transportation can also be ordered from the Maritime Rescue Association’s rescue vessel, Niilo Saarinen. Going ashore is possible with bigger boats also.
Iso-Kraaseli Island has a sauna, summer water pipe, kitchen shelter, campfire place and benches, nature trail, toilet and a daymark. The pilot cabin also has electricity, so cooking and food cold storage is possible.
Accommodation options: The pilot cabin with two double rooms for 2 persons and one room for 6 persons. There are also two old renovated sail storehouses with two beds in each.

Smitti:

Tasku:

Special feature: A great swimming beach on the south bank.



Konikari:

Archipelago visitor destinations

The break huts in Tasku, Kalla and Ulkopauha islands are in common use. There are small boat docks in Kalla and Tasku islands. On Iso-Kraaseli island a daymark, a campfire place, a kitchen shelter and lean-tos. A sauna and accommodation available also on Iso-Kraaseli. Reservations needed for sauna and accommodation.


Prohibition to go ashore

During the bird nesting season from 15.4. to 15.7. it is prohibited to go ashore on the most important bird islets and islands in order to safeguard birds nesting.
Prohibition to go ashore on following islands: Saapaskari, Kakkonen, Selkämatala, Kallanriutta, Rääpäkänriutta, Vesimatala, Isokivi, Kurikka, Kusiini, Kanttikivet.
1.5. – 20.7. going ashore is forbidden on Rääpäkkä.
1.5. – 15.7. going ashore is forbidden on Jyry island.
