The Christmas Calendar of Old Raahe is opened one window at a time

As Christmas approaches, a unique atmosphere settles in Raahe: the windows of the Christmas Calendar of Old Raahe are opened one window at a time, starting on the 1st December. The windows are decorated by the old wooden town’s residents, entrepreneurs and other operators in the area. The Christmas windows can be admired from the 1st December until 6th January. 

Traditionally, each window displays a historical story written by Kirsti Vähäkangas, related to the history of the house in question or Raahe’s history in general. The stories are published in the digital channels of Visit Raahe.
