Arctic Food Lab is the Oulu2026 region’s own brand, highlighting the uniqueness of ingredients grown under the northern skies of Finland and the food traditions shaped by Arctic conditions. The Arctic Food Lab label is awarded to companies whose food products combine local ingredients, sustainable traditions, and bold creativity. On this page, you can find food producers and operators from the Raahe region who have been granted the Arctic Food Lab label.

Trade House of Lang

Trade House of Lang is an 19th‑century café-restaurant, shop, and boutique hotel that tells the story of the Lang merchant estate, located by Pekkatori Square in Old Town Raahe.

Trade House of Lang’s event concept Brahe Afternoon Tea has been granted the Arctic Food Lab label. The event combines local flavours from Raahe with the traditional English afternoon tea experience. Afternoon tea is especially well suited to be enjoyed at the Trade House of Lang, as in the 19th century the ladies of the house gathered for afternoon tea in the winter garden room of Lang’s main building.

In the shop of the Trade House of Lang, you will find the Huushollerska products, which have also been awarded the Arctic Food Lab label. The Huushollerska range highlights the authentic flavours of the Raahe region, as the products are made from local ingredients. Each item is crafted with love and precision in the kitchen of the Trade House of Lang. The Huushollerska selection includes long‑standing favourites at the Trade House of Lang—such as Huushollerska’s salad dressing and rhubarb jam—as well as new innovations like sea buckthorn fudge and tar mustard. These new products bring a fresh twist to traditional Finnish flavours while offering something new and exciting.
