Pesäpallo, often referred to as Finnish baseball, is Finland’s national sport. The game is played on a distinctive field, and success relies heavily on tactical hitting and dynamic base running.

In Raahe’s Pattijoki district, pesäpallo has deep roots. Pattijoen Urheilijat (PattU) has been a key player in developing the sport locally, with decades of commitment to youth training and junior programs. Generations of young athletes have learned the game through PattU’s strong community involvement and coaching tradition.
